I have been meaning to create this for a long time. I have had the delight and privilege of raising many huskies from newborn to adult and it is a fantastical journey which I wanted to document and share, otherwise known as blogging. So we are keeping a black female from Kismet’s November 10, 2017 litter. I have named her Seven after my favorite Star Trek Voyager character because I’m a Trekkie and she’s my Borg namesake. Anyhow, she’s precious, and at 5 weeks already a handful. Kismet had an emergency c-section to deliver her puppies as an unusually large male got stuck in the birth canal. Thank you to the staff at the Midcoast Emergency Animal Clinic who took us without delay and made everything right. What a perfect bunch of puppies we have now.
At a week old Seven is basically a big fuzzy jelly bean who needs lots of feeding, sleeping, cleaning, and constant warmth. Her eyes aren’t open yet as that usually happens around day 12.
Four weeks later – Seven is bright eyed and meeting snow for the first time. Right at home she is.
Before long Seven will be introduced to a puppy size harness and running along trails.
Stay tuned for the continuing saga…
